Influencer Place Viral Content & Shareability Strategy
Transforming a non-functional creator economy brand into a viral Instagram account through the creation of scroll-stopping content, application of shareability tactics and growth through the community. 2025.
The Challenge
Influencer Place had created a strong product and had really established a community but was not being seen on Instagram. It was slowly increasing its following and posts were getting lost in the feed and content was not going outside the follower base. This was a very serious gap in a niche where visibility and social proof are key.
Stagnant Reach
The reach of posts was less than 4% of followers. Organic discovery was no longer growing at any rate with no Reels or shares bringing in new eyeballs to the profile.
Low Shareability
Content was not sendable, but informational. The posts did not have the hook, format and emotion inducing post that people share with friends.
Inconsistent Posting Cadence
The schedule of irregular uploading was negatively affecting the algorithm relationship, leading to posts being suppressed and low scores on account reach.
Our Approach
We were able to construct the content strategy on the ground with the help of a Share First content model. Each piece of content was created due to one question: would one send this to a friend? We launched three fundamentals content pillars namely Relatable Creator truths, Contrarian Hot Takes and Actionable Micro-Tips, each with a design that facilitates saves, shares and DM forwards.
The major vehicle of distribution was turned into reels. In the first 2 seconds, we created a repeatable short-form video that used a pattern-interrupt hook, a punchy narrative arc, and a CTA that was used to make more people visit the profiles. Trending audio was optimised in each of the Reels, captions included key words and a carousel follow up was used to increase the dwell time in the post.
We incorporated particular psychological shareability triggers in content copy and formats. Another strategy that drove community-generated content and introduced new audiences to us was a weekly UGC prompt series where followers share their own journeys as creators, which creates a compounding loop of community-created content, and introductions to a new audience.
An evidence supported 5 posts every week frequency was derived according to the audience activity peaks of Influencer Place. Stability was a good indicator of reliability to the Instagram algorithm, and the account grew steadily in reach score throughout the 4 month campaign.
The Outcome
In just over a four-month campaign, the Influencer Place Instagram account went from a stagnant profile whose posts rarely travelled beyond its existing followers into a genuinely shareable, community-driven presence. The account gained more than 10,000 new followers and multiplied its reach by 5.8x, with almost all of that growth earned organically through Reels and shares rather than paid promotion. The Share-First content model lifted the average engagement rate to 4.2x its previous level, while the save & share rate — the clearest signal that content is worth passing on — rose by 68% as followers began sending posts to friends and resharing them to their own stories.
